About

Thank you for visiting!

I have known that I wanted to be in the technology field from age six when my mother, in her wisdom and my constant nagging, bought me a Commodore 64 for Christmas. Now, into my fourth decade, I still have that glint in my eyes when picking up a new piece of technology.

Professionally, I am a software developer and manager. I’ve been in this gig since the mid 1990’s. I suspect I’ll remain in the industry until my death or am replaced by unwelcomed robot overlords.

Here at plainlygeek, I hope to codify or at least solidify my thoughts on some of the technologies, gadgets and methodologies I use in my daily work and personal life and share them. I’ll probably throw in a few random movie, book, or current event reviews for extra credit.

I can only promise that I will do my best to provide as honest as possible rendering of these technology adjacent musings.

Welcome!
